What is Eco Clean Bio?
An effective, environmentally friendly, and cost-efficient water-based dust suppressant for blasting steel structures with old coatings containing lead and other harmful substances. This technology reduces the generation of dust containing hazardous materials during blasting operations. By penetrating deep into the layers of the coating and turning it into a wet sheet state, it allows for stripping, removal, and collection using hand tools such as bladed scrapers.

Features
By efficiently removing the coating through wetting, dust during blasting can be significantly reduced. This dust reduction can be further enhanced by using the Recirculating Blast Method® in combination. Additionally, unlike traditional agents, we have changed the agent components from alcohol-based to water-based, eliminating the risk of ignition and improving safety. Consequently, it can be handled as a non-hazardous material under the Fire Service Act.
*The coating film that has been removed and recovered by Eco-Clean Bio falls under the Fire Protection Law (Designated combustible product name: synthetic resin).

Future Repainting standard process
Eco Clean Bio Coating
Please remove any substances that may obstruct the penetration of the stripping agent, such as mud, moss, and bird droppings, from the surface to be coated beforehand. The amount of coating applied will be checked and managed using a wet film gauge.
Confirmation of penetration, softening, and swelling into the coating film
After applying Eco-clean Bio, the active ingredient of the release agent slowly penetrates deep into the multilayer coating film and softens and swells in about 24 hours.The narrow part and the attached part are removed from the target.
Coating film stripping and removal work
After confirming the softening and swelling state of the coating film, the stripping and removal work will be carried out using hand tools (such as bladed scrapers). It is possible to strip, remove, and collect the coating film while it is in a wet sheet state. Coating film residues will remain in the recesses of the anchor pattern on the steel surface.
Material adjustment
Blasting, which is classified as Primary Surface Preparation, will be performed. Since this is done after the coating removal, dust can be significantly reduced. By adopting the Recirculating Blast Method®, the dust reduction effect can be further enhanced.
